How Andre Recommends a Proper Log Off and Exit from Eaglesoft
At the end of the workday, one duty of the last person using Eaglesoft should be doing is to confirm that all users are logged out of Eaglesoft. Typically, the last person logging out of Eaglesoft would receive the following message in a pop-up:
“You are the last user to exit Eaglesoft. If all workstations are finished using Eaglesoft for the day, please remember to shutdown the Server.”
If you are the last users and you do not receive this message there is a good chance that other users are not exiting Eaglesoft “properly”. The first this I would recommend is to remove the "Exit" button/icon from each workstation’s toolbar and replace with the "Log Off" button/icon.

Next, post a reminder on each workstation that says: “Do NOT Use Red X to Exist Eaglesoft” (You can right click and save the image below to print and post on workstations).
Using the red "X" to close Eaglesoft is like jumping out of a moving car. and the Log Off is like stopping the car, putting it in park, turning off the ignition and locking it.
Using the “X” is ONLY appropriate in the schedule because that window does not close Eaglesoft.
I recommend that you work you’re your IT team to setup your server for a nightly “service shutdown”, followed by an off-site backup, then a restart of the server and Eaglesoft Server software.
