Andre Explains the Dentrix “Procedures Not Attached to Insurance Report” in Eaglesoft

Let’s start with… There is NO report like that in Eaglesoft. Why?  Because there is no way to do a walkout in Eaglesoft without the services posted being sent to insurance.

Yes, it “could” happen if a user closed a claim for some administrative reason and didn’t recreate the claim.  With Dentrix, users could do the equivalent of a “walkout” without creating a claim. But there really “isn't” a way in Eaglesoft to do that without being prompted to submit.  The only situation where you can enter a service and not be prompted to submit a claim by Eaglesoft is if there was no insurance connected to that Patient.

Scenario (from the Facebook Group): Doctor or Hygienist posts something to the chart and the Admin team has already completed the walkout and don't realize an additional x-ray or service was posted to walkout.

Answer: On an ongoing basis (daily, weekly, monthly) generate the Detailed Treatment plan report.  Filter the choices down to the date range you are “auditing” and only services Posted to walkout.  This would give you items Posted to walkout but not completed

Scenario (from the Facebook group): Completed a Walked Out; Claim created; error noticed; claim deleted.  When creating a Smart Claim (recreating a claim) not all services were highlighted or worse, claim was never recreated.

Answer: The previous answer should also catch this operator error. If not, oops.  It slipped through the cracks.  Using a proper billing cycle (see statements) the patient gets a Statement for the services with no estimation.  Typically, they call immediately, and you correct the issue.  Patients are usually the first to find “errors” in accounts.

Scenario (from the Facebook group): Patient is going to see hygienist first for exam prophy etc. and schedule right after to see doctor for treatment. The Hygiene Visit is Walked Out and BOTH appointments turn grey, and someone forgets to go back into the restorative appointment to walk that out.

Answer: The previous answer should also catch this operator error.
