How Andre Sets Up Offices with Both PPO And Premier Providers in Eaglesoft
In a perfect world, a Patient would only see the Dentist that matches the network they are in.
The "struggle" becomes: Patients switch!
Let’s say the Practice is In-Network with United Accordion. Dr A is In-Network with the UA “High Option Plan” (“HOP”) and Dr B is In-Network with the UA “Low Option Plan” (“LOP”).
Both the HOP and LOP have their own Fee Schedules. To get estimated insurance to “work” properly, the optimal set up would be to have a Fee Schedule attached to the Employers/Coverage Plans but with providers in both HOP and LOP estimations would vary from Walkout to walkout. Unless…
What I have suggested is that you create distinct version of each Employers/Coverage Plans for LOP and HOP.
Example:
Conseco Construction [LOP]
Conseco Construction [HOP]
This works great until a Patient is seen by a Dentist that does not matches the network they are in. If this happens “all the time”, there is no good option. If this happens “sometimes” then when it does, I suggest that you edit the Patient, Select Preferences, Change the Fee Schedule from “(None)” to the Fee Schedule that matches the network the Patient is in. You complete the Walkout, then change the Fee Schedule back to None.
Beware: Using a Fee Schedule in the Patient Preferences overrides all other Employers/Coverage Plans preferences (i.e. any Coverage Book information will be ignored).
