How Andre Prints Accounts Receivable in Eaglesoft - There are many ways to view your Accounts Receivable
By now, you should know I’m NOT a big fan of “running reports” but here is a very fast way to get your current Accounts Receivable (AR) numbers without running a report?
Go to Activities > Practice Management > Revenue Opportunities (see pic)
The first option in the list is Accounts Receivables!!!
OK, so you really WANT to run a report and print a stack of papers… So here are some suggestions:
You want to print the AR without Outstanding Insurance Estimations:
In the Eaglesoft “definition” of AR, the balance of the Account would always include monies owed by Insurance so there is a no war to run an AR report without Insurance. That being said, when you generate the Accounts Receivable by Responsible Party report, the Due Now is the Patients portion of the total Balance less Estimated Insurance, provided the Insurance Estimation is accurate.
You want to print the AR to show the percentage of the total for 30, 60, and 90 days:
The Accounts Receivable by Responsible Party report shows the percentage in each of the Current, 30, 60 and 90 day categories at the bottom of the report.
You want to export the AR to an Excel spreadsheet:
Run the Accounts Receivable by Responsible Party report as normal. On the print preview screen, right click on the report and Save As. Change the File Type to Excel. Find a destination (like your desktop). Give your report a unique name.
You want to print the Accounts Receivable (A/R) Without Credit Balances:
Go to Reports>Accounts Receivable by Responsible Party report>Filter. In the Range of Account Balances use the range $.01 to $999,999.99. This will exclude and Account with a Credit Balance.
You want to print the Accounts Receivable (A/R) With JUST Credit Balances:
Go to Reports>Accounts Receivable by Responsible Party report>Filter. In the Range of Account Balances use the range -999,999.99 to -.01. This will exclude and Account with a positive Balance.
You want to print the Accounts Receivable (A/R) for Ortho Patients Only:
The first criteria to making this happen is that ever Patient in Ortho has the “Orthodontic Patient” option checked in their Patient Preferences (see pic)
Now you can go to Reports>Accounts Receivable by Responsible Party report>Filter. Select the Ortho Patients Only check box (see pic). This will generate a report of Accounts with Orthodontic Balances.
