How Andre Charts when a Primary and Permanent Tooth are both Present in Eaglesoft
If a permanent tooth and the corresponding primary tooth are both erupted and present in the mouth is there a way to chart both?
Start by going to the Virtual Operatory Screen.
Go to List>Draw Types>New.
Change the Affected Area to Tooth
Click the Use for all teeth” option.
Use the Pencil tool two draw “ovals” (see picture).
Make sure that the Allow conditions box is checked.
Save the Draw Type and close it.
Now edit it again and uncheck the Use the all teeth box.
Using the Eraser tool, erase the lower “oval” on tooth #1-8 and the upper “oval” on #25-32. Erase the lower “oval” on tooth #a-e and the upper “oval” on #p-t.
I created a Draw Type and Condition that is a smaller version of the Impacted Drawing
Save your new Draw Type.
Next, go to List>Conditions and create a new Condition called "(Custom) Primary/Perm Present".
Make sure the Affected Area is Tooth.
Use the Draw Type Drop-down to select the connect the Draw Type "(Custom) Primary/Perm Present” that you created.
When you Chart a "Primary/Perm Present” you click on the tooth and click conditions and find the Primary/Perm Present condition and OK. Now you can see on the Perm that the Prim is still present. If you need to "work' on the Prim, you will need to switch between perm and Prim to "bring the Primary forward"
But this is the only way to "see" both at the same time.
As part of my Eaglesoft Clinical Master a Custom Version is installed that looks like the picture below. The draw type is more anatomical.
