How Andre “Augments” the Measurement Tool in Eaglesoft

Within Eaglesoft Advanced Imaging there WAS the ability to measure items within an image. This feature will be sunsetting soon. I trained offices for 10 years on digital and each time I ran into this question I came to the same work around. Why not get a piece of ortho wire that is exactly 1mm and epoxy it to the face of your sensor. Now, if the image is foreshortened, the wire reflects the size "distortion". As for knowing both an X and X axis calibration. A .5mm or 1mm ball bearing could replace the wire. I'm not an engineer but it might work.  Years ago, we used a “grid” like this one from Medidenta/Endo Direct.

Or this one from IOPA.
