How Andre deals with The Referral Productivity report freezing the EOY Process in Eaglesoft.
Many Eaglesoft users have found that the End of Year (EOY) process gets “stuck” or “freezes”. Many times, it is because the Referral Productivity report is taking a long time to reconcile. Eaglesoft isn’t actually stuck or frozen. Just “thinking” and needs time.
Unchecking the report can sometimes help but, unchecking in versions after 19, only stop a “paper” report form printing. The report is still generated and saved in the Practice Information SmartDoc.
The “best” advice is to just “walk away” and come back. Much like the idiom “a watched pot never boils”. You may walk away and, in an hour, or so, the EOY will complete.
The only thing that I have heard of that works is to restart the server. Then before doing anything else in Eaglesoft, process the EOY again to see if it proceeds without getting stuck.
WARNING: When you get the “Would you like to finish processing the EOY” make sure to answer “Yes” or the EOY will not complete, and you’ll have to start all over again.
