How Andre Post a Payment from Last Year, so it Does Not Impact This Year’s Benefits in Eaglesoft

Question: How do you post a claim payment from last years’ service date and not have it impact the current year’s remaining benefit?

Answer: Post the Insurance Payment as you normally do. When you save the payment, you will get a familiar pop-up window that asks you what to do with the unpaid portion. In this screen uncheck the box "Apply unpaid amount back to remaining benefits" (see picture). This will allow you to post this payment without impacting the patient’s current benefits.
