Andre Explains How to Make A "Master" Copy of A Coverage Book And Fee Schedule In Eaglesoft
Coverage Books can sometimes take “forever” to enter. That’s because there are like a “thousand” ADA codes that have to be entered along with some of the Admin Codes that we have added to out Service Code List. Here is how I speed up the Process of creating a new Coverage Book.
Go to Reports>Service Code and look for Service Code Productivity. This report will give you a list of ALL the Service Codes in your system and, at the top, the most used codes for your office.
Click the Filter button on the Print Preview page.
In the Productivity section of the Filter enter “1” in the YTD Units “From” box and “9999999” in the “To” box. This will filter out all the services you have not done year-to-date. Now let’s forth these in ADA Code order.
Click the Sort button. Drag the y_revenue “block” to the left Sort Data column and drag the ada_code “bock” to the Columns column. Make use the Ascending box is checked. Click OK. Now your list is JUST the Service you do and in the correct ADA Code order.
Print the page(s) as a list of the code you will be using to make your Master Coverage Book”
Go to List>Coverage Book List
Click the New button.
Name this Coverage Book “ZZZ Master Coverage Book” (I recommend the “ZZZ” prefix so that that Master is at the bottom of you CB list so it’s less likely to be edited by mistake and “out of the way” of normal day to day choices.
Using you printed ADA sorted List, work with another crew member to enter each Service Code from the list into the Master Coverage Book.
In the UCR Colum enter $999999.99. This way when you make a new CB you will now the fees are NOT updated when you see a ridiculous amount in the UCR column. If the amount was $0 you may not know if the allowable is truly $0 or if no information was entered.
After you enter ALL the Service Codes from your list, click OK to save the Master Coverage Book.
Done.
